PRODUCTION/STUDIO INTERN.

During my time at NASCAR, I had the privilege of interning in the NASCAR Productions/Studio Department, where I worked alongside the Branded Content Team. This experience allowed me to gain invaluable hands-on knowledge in sports media production while contributing to the storytelling that brings the excitement of NASCAR to audiences worldwide.

As an intern, I was entrusted with producing and editing short-form content on tight deadlines, utilizing non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro. I managed multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with both internal teams and external clients to meet creative expectations and delivery schedules.

My responsibilities included performing video post-production tasks such as field production work, reviewing raw footage, making editorial decisions, logging content, crafting rough cuts, adjusting audio levels, color correcting, creating motion graphics, and finalizing edits for distribution. This role challenged me to sharpen my technical skills and creative vision, while also reinforcing the importance of attention to detail and storytelling in sports media.

Working within the Branded Content Team allowed me to understand the significance of building connections with sponsors, community members, and businesses that support NASCAR. Collaborating with these entities to create engaging content not only highlighted their contributions but also reinforced the vital partnerships that fuel the sport. Crafting narratives that showcased the impact of these partnerships helped bridge the gap between the brand and its supporters, fostering a sense of community and mutual growth. This experience deepened my appreciation for the collaborative nature of sports media and the power of storytelling in amplifying the voices of those who make the sport thrive.

NASCAR HBCU SIZZLE

Inspired by the NASCAR initiative to bring a “young, diverse audience to motorsports.” I produced a highlight “sizzle” showcasing the energetic environment, diversity and inclusion already present at NASCAR races. This sizzle includes racecar paint schemes that commemorate Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) from a variety of drivers. The inclusion of all ages promotes NASCAR as an amazing experience of all ages!
